The Epoch Times took the streets of New York City to ask: “What is your favorite thing about winter?”

Mickey Toogood, 26, Harlem, Student/Tutor: “My favorite memory of winter is when I grew up on a mountain in Japan, on Osaka Mountain, my twin brother and I would slip and skate our way down the mountain in the morning to catch the school bus.” ()

NEW YORK—It is undeniably wintertime, there is snow on the ground, ice on the streets, and everyone is bundled up in heavy coats, hats, and scarves.

Though there can be a certain drudgery to the colder months, with transit delays, grey slush in the streets, and the bitter cold around every corner, there are also many unique and beautiful moments to be had in the cold short days and long winter nights of winter.
