Deron Williams is coming to Brooklyn.
The most coveted free-agent on the market will accompany the Nets as they move to Brooklyn for the 2012-13 season, according to a tweet by Williams Tuesday evening.
The tweet read, “Made a very tough decision today...” and had a picture of the Nets new logo.
Contracts for free-agents can’t be signed until July 11, but according to a report on the NBA’s website, the deal is for five years and $98 million, according to a person with knowledge of the decision.
The decision is huge for the Nets who have loaded up on expensive players this off-season to try and convince Williams to stay. In recent days the Nets have re-signed Gerald Wallace to a four-year $40 million deal and traded for Joe Johnson and the four years and roughly $89 million left on his contract.
