Will Scarlet, or The Knave of Hearts, will appear in Once Upon a Time season 4 after being one of the primary characters of Once Upon a Time in Wonderland.
That “OUAT” spinoff was canceled after one season.
Scarlet, who does not appear in episode 1, is the only Wonderland character confirmed to be making the cross over.
Scarlet and Robin Hood will go at it after their previous history.
“There is some stuff between us that needs to be resolved,” Sean Maguire (Robin Hood) told The Hollywood Reporter.
“We delve into that at some point in the season. You know he’s there and you know I’m there, so it’s inevitable we will talk at some point.”
Michael Socha (Scarlet) added about a scene between the man: “There were darts involved and obviously Robin Hood has a good aim.”
The Knave makes a lasting impression on Storybrooke.
“He’s a bit of a cheeky sod,” Socha told Entertainment Weekly. “He’s a thief, he’s a naughty boy sometimes. He rubs a few people the wrong way quite early on. He ends up in jail at some point. And out of jail at another point.”
Executive producer Eddy Kitsis previously said that the context in which Scarlet re-emerges will be provided eventually.
“We are going to tell that story, what happened and what brought him back to Storybrooke,” he said, hinting that Will Scarlet “has an interesting connection to another character from… season one.”
And another familiar face has been confirmed for season 4–Sidney Glass (Giancarlo Esposito), Regina’s advisor who was stuck in a mirror in the past and helped her plot evil in the present day before taking the fall for her.
TVGuide says that Sidney will help Regina destroy those standing in the way of her happy ending, presumably with Robin Hood.
