Shelley Morrison, who appeared on sitcom “Will & Grace,” has died at the age of 83, according to reports.
The New York Times noted that she was born in the Bronx, New York City, before she moved to Los Angeles. Los Angeles is where she started her stage career and became one of the first female stage producers.
She played the role of Rosario on “Will & Grace” from 1999 until 2006 in 68 episodes. She retired from acting before the show was rebooted by NBC in 2017.
She leaves behind six adopted children, including three girls and six boys, according to the NY Times.
Her co-stars on “Will & Grace” remembered her fondly on social media.
“Shelley was a beautiful soul & a wonderful actor. Her work as Rosario, season after season, was as nuanced and real as it was hysterical. She will be missed by everyone at #WillandGrace, she’s a huge part of it. Sending so much love to Walter and Shelley’s whole family,” Eric McCormack tweeted.
