The popular Discovery Channel extreme deep sea fishing television show “Deadliest Catch” starts filming next week on its seventh season. While television execs confirmed the return of the Cornelia Marie fishing boat with the late Captain Phil Harris’ sons returning to the show, a major cast shake-up is possible.
Facing possible litigation from Discovery are two of the popular cast mates, Captains Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand, who apparently quit the show last week after the suit was brought. Captain Sig Hansen, who also stars in the hit reality series, later issued a statement of support for his fellow captains.
News website The Hollywood Reporter noted that the lawsuit surrounds an assertion the co-stars did not complete work on a planned spinoff special.
