A group protesting in front of the White House on Friday were cleared back following the shooting in Los Angeles.
Mike Conneen of ABC reported that Secret Service agents began clearing protestors and tourists from White House/Pennsylvania Avenue following the shooting, back to H Street.
The Secret Service said the park there is closed.
“Clarification: Not reporting that increased WH security presence directly result of LA incident,” said Coneen via Twitter. “But it happened immediately as news broke.”
“I was reporting on protest against Iraqi PM visit to WH. Rally organizers were mid-program but told to cut their program short and exit,” he added.
