A Texas man was arrested outside the White House on Tuesday afternoon, according to accounts posted on Twitter. The man reportedly had knives and a gun on him.

Doug Mills with the New York Times posted photos of the man--who was shirtless and wearing blue jeans--getting taken away by Secret Service agents.

Mills said the man had an unregistered gun and ammunition.

Mike Majchrowitz, a correspondent with Fox News, wrote on Twitter that the man was from Texas, and he also had two knives on him.

Majchrowitz said no shots were fired and there were no injuries.

The Secret Service officers were uniformed, Mills said.

“What do you expect to happen to you when you are in front of the White House carrying knives and a gun?” wrote one Twitter user as news of the arrest spread.
