Jon is back this week to talk about smartwatches. What’s the deal with smartwatches? Are they really smart? I guess so in the grand scheme of things, afterall it is essentially an industry that is still in its infancy.
We’re talking about 18-24 months since smartwatches have REALLY entered the market. I guess it begs the question though, have existing products on the market done anything to move the needle? Not really, and something has got to change or else smartwatches are really nothing more than toys and accessories for enthusiasts.
Smartwatches have gotten smarter with Android Wear, Apple Watch (just around the corner), and even Samsung’s Tizen. But what will be the turning point that makes it like the smartphone industry, where everyone has one uses it to the point of necessity.
