VANCOUVER, Canada—“Fabulous!” was Susan Frank’s response after watching the Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company’s production. She was among the enthusiastic audience that greeted Shen Yun at Vancouver’s Queen Elizabeth Theatre on Feb. 4 for the Saturday evening performance.

Ms. Frank, a life coach and owner of True Power Coaching, was touched by the spirituality she felt in the performance.

“What a wonderful surprise it was that there is such a strong spiritual element in the show,” she said.

Speaking from her professional expertise and personal background, she added, “Meditation is the key to achieving happiness in life. Because you realize the truth and you connect with the divine. Of course, this is the only way, otherwise our minds are too busy. There is no other way.”

She also found the performance educational.

“Now, I feel like I know something about Chinese culture and am learning [about it] in wonderful ways. So entertaining.”

She praised the deeper elements she saw in the presentation of classical Chinese dance, music, and history showcased in the show.

“Very rich. It has such a very rich history. What an entertaining way to learn about Chinese culture and history!”

“It’s beautiful,” Ms. Frank said of her Shen Yun experience.
