Chinese nationals declare their withdrawals from the Chinese Communist Party

Editor’s note: The Epoch Times publishes here direct translations of statements made by Chinese people who have renounced the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and its affiliate youth organizations. Statements such as these are submitted to the Chinese language Epoch Times, Dajiyuan. The movement to renounce, withdraw from, or quit the CCP, called “Tuidang” in Chinese, began in late 2004, soon after the Epoch Times published the “Nine Commentaries on the Communist Party,” an editorial series that explores the nature and history of the CCP. These statements offer a rare and candid glimpse of history in the making. Chinese people are turning their backs on the Communist Party, choosing conscience over convenience, and peacefully ushering in a future China, free of Party rule.

The following is a selection of “Tuidang” (Quitting the Party) statements made by Chinese nationals on July 3-8, 2013.

I Hope the Chinese Communist Party Will Soon Perish

I announce withdrawal from the Young Pioneers and sever all relations to Chinese Communist Party organizations today.

The Chinese Communist Party is the root cause of all disasters. I was a member of the party’s Young Pioneers, but I now solemnly declare to sever any relationship with the evil party, and I will no longer support any party-related matter. I hope the Chinese Communist Party will soon perish so Chinese people can stop suffering.

I Completely Withdraw From all CCP Organizations

The history of the CCP is full of deception and violence. It is a history filled with mind poisoning, human suffering, and cultural destruction. All the issues, whether they are the Chinese food products or the air and water pollution, are the chaotic outcome of people’s confusion bread into them by the CCP.

It is not only the the wish of ordinary people that the CCP be eliminated but also the manifestation of Heaven’s compassion and will. I hereby solemnly declare that I completely and totally withdraw my membership from all the organizations associated with the CCP, and become a new person with a bright future, enjoying real freedom.

I was the secretary of the Youth League in my job. I disliked my job because I felt like a phony when I had to write deceptive Communist League activity reports. A party official asked me to ready myself to become a party member. When I was overseas I learned about the “withdrawal from all three CCP organizations.” I decided to separate myself from the evil party in my heart, so I now announce my withdrawal. At the same time, I want to express support for Falun Gong’s efforts in clarifying the truth and resisting persecution.

I have worked in Chinese communist officials’ circles for decades, and I am deeply aware of the evil nature of the CCP. This gangster group has done serious destruction to the Chinese people and never did anything that was beneficial to the people. Some of the symbolic policies to enrich ordinary people were enacted under desperate situations, meant to prolong the party’s miserable existence.

I am 90 years old but, without a clear head, I worked as a party official for decades. I worked hard for the party to deceive and intimidate ordinary people—I am ashamed of it! God has permitted me to live to this age, and now that I have met Falun Gong practitioners, I agree with what they say. It is totally true that one must live with principle, worthy of conscience and ancestors; one must respect heaven and do good deeds for that is our basic humanity.

The Marxism that originated in the West is against heaven and earth, and is anti-humanity; it provokes bad deeds and pushes people toward hell.

I finally recognize the evilness of this party, and I solemnly declare: I forever quit the Communist Party and all party-related organizations; clean and clear my body, mind, and thoughts; and erase the mark of the beast. I am 90 years old but I am going to start a new beginning of becoming a good person with a bright future, upright and respectful of heaven and God.

Quitting the Youth League

My son and I are quitting the Chinese Communist Youth League. Last year, my son established a company and hired people to develop gaming software. Because of continuous delays by another party, my son took actions to get payment for his work. The other party did not complete the project, but falsely reported to the police that they had been extorted. The police brutally forced my son into detention. We hired a lawyer to defend my son based on the true facts. The trial ended on March 22, 2013 but my son is still in detention.

Quitting the Party and League

I am 73 years old and worked for the party my entire life supporting border regions. I am retired and I receive a measly 2,000 or so yuan (approximately US$326). I am so upset with the corrupt officials that my teeth hurt. Learning the truth from Falun Gong practitioners today finally made things clear to me. I am determined to quit all organizations associated with the evil party to make my life worthy.
