Macy’s 36th annual Fourth of July fireworks is exciting, but figuring out how to partake in the event can sometimes be a challenge.

The Epoch Times is here to help you, along with your friends and family, to find the perfect way to take part in the celebration.

Manhattan West Side

Themed Ignite the Night, this year’s fireworks will explode in the night sky from 9:20 p.m. to 9:50 p.m. to both patriotic and pop standards—including Ray Charles’s “America the Beautiful,” Lee Greenwood’s “God Bless the U.S.A.,” Madonna’s “Holiday,” Whitney Houston’s “One Moment in Time,” and songs by Katy Perry and Kenny Chesney—listen on 1010 WINS and Fresh 102.7.

The most classic way of enjoying the fireworks is from the piers and parks along the Hudson River. The fireworks will be visible from 12th Avenue, between 14th Street and 59th Street. To ensure a good spot, plan to arrive early and bring chairs or a blanket. Large bags and containers will be subject to security checks, police have informed the public.

New Jersey Waterfront

If Manhattan is too crowded, maybe going to New Jersey would help. You will find spectacular views of the fireworks from Hoboken and Weehawken, with decent views from Jersey City and North Bergen.

Cruises

If you are willing to pay a little extra, New York Waterway Tours offer amazing views from aboard their Fourth of July Fireworks Cruises on the Hudson River. Tickets are $75 per person and cruises board at 6 p.m. from 1 W. 38th St. and the Hudson River, Edgewater, N.J., Hoboken Rail/Ferry Terminal, and Jersey City.

The Circle Line’s July fourth cruise also offers a view for $79 per person, but this cruise will have an onboard DJ to keep you entertained.

The Spirit of New York Cruise at Chelsea Piers includes a buffet dinner and a live DJ for dancing. Including an onboard meal, the tickets are $263.90.

For a more deluxe July Fourth experience, you could look into the World Yacht Dinner Cruise, which offers a five-course dinner at a private table for $350.

Rooftops

If you have a rooftop that has an unobstructed view of the Hudson River, you have your free pass to a fantastic view. However, for those of us who are not as lucky or those of us who would end up seasick on the cruises, Circle Line and World Yacht are hosting a rooftop party at Pier 83 for $79 per person. There will be a barbecue and a live DJ.

Television

There are always guaranteed spots on your couch to watch the Fourth of July fireworks. Although it is a little quieter, and a little smaller, sometimes there’s nothing that beats nice air conditioning and front row seats.
