A waterspout came ashore in Pompano Beach in Miami, Florida on July 19, injuring three.

Waterspouts are tornadoes that form on the water.

The three people were left with minor injuries, a city spokeswoman told NBA Miami. One was taken to an area hospital. The waterspout interrupted a lifeguard competition that was happening near the Pompano Beach Fishing Pier. The waterspout sent tents flying too, reported local broadcaster WSVN-TV.
