After losing to Ghana in each of the last two World Cups, the U.S. finally prevailed with a 2-1 victory over Ghana on Day 5 of the 2014 World Cup. Especially notable was John Brooks’ header off a corner kick in the 86th minute.

Below are clips of soccer fans around the States celebrating the event. Who says Americans are not crazy about soccer?

Tampa, Florida: The crowd explodes into chants of “USA, USA” following the U.S’s first goal by Clint Dempsey.

Baton Rouge, Louisiana: Fans scream at the top of their lungs following the U.S’s game winning goal.

Houston, Texas: Along the same vein, guys going nuts.

Kansas City, Kansas: Guys hugging, flags waving, things flying up into the air.

Rio de Janeiro, Brazil: Perhaps best of all, U.S. fans show their belief by chanting “I believe that we will win” just moments before the game winning goal.
