A tremendous thunderstorm has been covering five provinces in Southern China for the past few days, bringing with it torrents of rain and more surprisingly, hailstones the size of a child’s fist.

A Chinese state weather report says that the storm covers the provinces of Hunan, Jiangxi, Fujian, Guangdong, and Guangxi.

Severe hail affected Hunan and Guangdong. In the city of Chenzhou, hailstones the size of eggs battered down for a quarter hours, harming hundreds of acres of crops.

In Shaoguan of Guangdong Province, hailstones punched holes in roofs and damaged cars. A 10,000-square feet section of road cut off transport in the county of Wengyuan.

Damage reports are incomplete, according to Oriental Press.
