This is the terrifying moment 56-year-old Edmond Burgess crashed his Bugatti worth more then $300,000 at an Oldtimer Car race in Gloucestershire in Great Britain. The race car dates back to 1924 and just recently had its 90th ‘Birthday’.

Burgess lost control after his vehicle in a curve after the brakes failed, causing the car to roll on top of him. Amazingly he managed to escape from the accident without being hurt. The next weeks Mr. Burgess will spend repairing the bonnet, wheel and front of his Bugatti to take it on track again.

Comeback in 8 Weeks?

After having crashed his quarter of a million Bugatti classic racing car Mr. Burgess walked away from the prang – and had a beer. He hopes to be back in the driving seat of his classic Bugatti racing car in eight weeks, once he has repaired the car.
