Meanwhile, at the River Thames in England, an unlucky motorist left his BMW in an unfortunate location.
The BMW was filmed drifting away while simultaneously sinking into the river. It had been left on a slipway at Putney Embankment, witnesses told the Metro. As the tide came in, the car was taken into the river and drifted downstream.

“I saw this walking back to my house in Putney earlier about 2ish. A cautionary tale as to why you shouldn’t leave your car parked on the bank at high tide,” 18-year-old onlooker Ted Stones, who filmed the clip, told the paper. “The police did come and call it in but I’m unsure as to the fate of the car or the owner.”
At one point, an indicator on the BMW starts to blink, as if it were a silent cry for help.
When police arrived, it was too late.
According to LBC.co.uk, river levels are quite high right now due to heavy rain upstream.
Dog walker Nicola Kennedy, 59, also saw the scene as it unfolded.
She told the Evening Standard: “When I came along it was already in the water.”
“As I walked beside it the alarm was going off, then the boot opened and the car sunk to the bottom of the Thames.
“It was quite extraordinary. Many people were taking pictures and the police were called but they couldn’t come out in time to rescue it.
“I have never seen anything like that and I’ve lived in Putney for 30 years.”
