When Villanova’s Kris Jenkins nailed the buzzer-beating, championship-winning three-pointer against North Carolina on April 4 it gave the Wildcats their second national title and set off a wild celebration on the court.

It also set off a crazy celebration at The Pavilion, where Villanova plays their home games. Here’s the students’ reaction there:

Jenkins scored 14 points on the day and the game-winning three was his second trey of the game. It also capped off a wild final minute.

North Carolina’s Marcus Paige hit an incredible double-clutch three-pointer to tie the game at 74 with 4.7 seconds remaining and cap a 10-point comeback over the last five minutes. Needing just a final defensive stop to force overtime, the Tar Heels lost sight of Jenkins and he burned them at the buzzer. Here’s his shot:

The game-winner overshadowed a great three by the clutch-shooting Paige.

Paige scored 21 points and hit four of his seven three-point attempts. Had this three forced overtime, it would be remembered right up there with the best of them.

Either way, the game is one of the best NCAA championship games ever.
