A YouTube project aims to “recycle” aluminum via melting empty soda cans. He puts in a bunch of cans into a DIY foundry and produces about a pound of aluminum. Then he uses muffin backing trays to produce a bunch of aluminum ingot “muffins.” The process takes a bit of time, but it’s highly satisfying to watch:
