A Border Collie was captured on video saving the life of a chihuahua as a car was backing up at a residence in Canada.

Footage shows the collie outside playing fetch with its owner and a couple other dogs, reported the Daily Mail.

The dogs and the owner then walk off camera, and a woman is seen backing her vehicle out of a snowy driveway. However, the little chihuahua suddenly starts to wander dangerously close to the car.

Then, seemingly out of nowhere, the Border Collie runs over and picks up the tiny dog before running safely to the side.

The car then starts to pull away before backing up again.

“I saw something in my mirror. First I thought I had crushed my dog,” the woman wrote in a caption for the video, Yahoo News reported.

Realizing what had happened, the woman got out of the vehicle, patted the Border Collie, and picked up the chihuahua.

The incident took place in Gaspe City in Quebec.

Dogs Save Owner After She Has a Stroke

Two loyal dogs saved a Florida woman’s life by running to a neighbor’s home for help after their owner had a stroke.

Maureen Hatcher collapsed at her home in St. John’s, Florida, on Dec. 3, while taking a shower.

“The next thing I knew, I was eating the floor and couldn’t move,” Hatcher, 62, told the St. Augustine Record. “And I said to my girls [the dogs], ‘I need help.'”

Bella and Sadie—both Labrador retrievers—rushed next door to prompt neighbor Alexandra Naspolini to check on the distressed Hatcher.

The sound of barking can be heard on video, with the dogs raising the alarm on what they must have sensed was an emergency.

Naspolini cautiously opens the door to Hatcher’s home and calls out “Excuse me,” before ringing the doorbell. The footage then shows her going inside.

She told First Coast News reporters that the dogs led her to Hatcher, who had lost consciousness and was lying on a bed. Naspolini immediately called 911 and, according to the St. Augustine Record, paramedics arrived about 10 minutes later.

Three days later, Hatcher had regained her strength and was home again, with her pups.

“I am blessed I don’t have any residual effects, and I attribute that to Dr. Nima and what the staff there did for me,” Hatcher said while saying she feels blessed her “angels,” Bella and Sadie, were there to save her.
