The new Volkswagen 2011 Jetta is available for viewing through a sneak peak given by the German automobile designer on their company website. The new Jetta looks a little more like the Volkswagen Golf and is veering farther away from its once box-like body structure.
Volkswagen also rolled out the new model Jetta in New York’s Times Square.
The 2011 Jetta will not be available for release until later in the year. The car will feature keyless entry, touchscreen navigation, and a built in Bluetooth communication system. Volkwagen released a company statement along with a list of specs attracting the discerning minds of car industry experts across the country.
“Today marks the beginning of a new era for Volkswagen and for Jetta. The all-new 2011 Jetta is a class-up driving experience with the kind of styling, design and power under the hood normally found in more expensive luxury cars,“ said Stefan Jacoby, CEO of Volkswagen Group of America, Inc. ”This car is sophisticated, fun to drive and practical.”
The 2011 Volkswagen Jetta comes with a button that will start and stop the vehicle’s engine rather than the old fashion key ignition. The 2.0 litre engine on the new model features a choice of four different types, including a diesel engine option.
The entire design of the Volkswagen has been altered, including the wheelbase and body size. The interior of the 2011 Jetta has more leg room and a fold down back seat that is separated with a 60 to 40 percent split between the two sides.
