Voices of Exile

“Give me your tired, your poor, your huddled masses yearning to breathe free,” reads an inscription on the Statue of Liberty. The Museum of Jewish Heritage presents Emma Lazarus: Poet of Exiles, an exhibition featuring the story and message of Lazarus, who wrote these words. The exhibit in Lower Manhattan opened in October 2011 to mark the 125th anniversary of the dedication of the Statue of Liberty and will remain open until December 2012.
