Students in Chicago surprised their choir teacher, who was sick with cancer, with a rendition of their own.

In a video shared by Kleenex, graduates surprised Gabrielyn Watson with “Amazing Grace” as she walks down the hallway of Morgan Park High School.

Watson was beloved by her students.

“I realized that I never really had a chance to tell her know exactly how influential she was to my life,” said alum Peter Frank, according to Today.com.

“Because of you, I’m everything I am today, and I really thank you,” he says in the clip.

Watson is in remission, after fighting against multiple myeloma.

“I never thought I'd see them all together like that,” she said. “It’s just great to feel loved, and that what you do matters.”

Watson taught at the high school for 17 years but took seven months off to fight cancer, FOX8 reported.
