A photo that’s currently going viral on Facebook shows a boy doing his homework. But it’s where he’s doing it that has drawn so much attention.
The boy is seen doing his work on a street corner near a McDonald’s. The photo was captured in Cebu City, Philippines, when Joyce Torrefranca took the picture.
The boy was identified as 9-year-old Daniel Cabrera, according to Rappler.com.
Torrefranca, a student at Cebu Doctors’ University, said Cabrera inspired her to study harder.
“As a student, it gave me an inspiration to work harder. I’m fortunate my parents were able to send me to school. I seldom go to coffee shops to study, but this kid just hit me. You really don’t need much, you just have to be determined and focused on the things that you want to achieve,” Torrefranca was quoted by Rappler as saying.
“I hope that this kid will inspire millions of people,” she added.
