A photo showing two different ways a dog would wear pants if a dog actually wore pants has gone viral, with people debating the choices.
The photo was created by Norbert, who runs the Utopian Raspberry – Modern Oasis Machine Facebook page.
It blew up after being posted on Reddit under the heading “Only baffling question I’ve ever come across on Facebook.”
Norbert told Maxim that he created the image after actually spotting a dog wearing pants in his neighborhood.
“I saw some dogs wearing pants, and I thought about how they don’t really have arms so their pants should technically go on every leg. I just tried both versions,” he said.
“I honestly didn’t expect it to become so popular. I’m just glad people found it entertaining.”
People are debating which way would be correct, although the top comment on Reddit has convinced many.
“Well pants are a human invention so if they were to wear them like humans it would be like the ones on the right,” said user postapocalyptictribe.
“However, if dogs invented dog pants it would be like the ones on the left, leaving the asshole freely available for greetings and ice breakers.”
Not everyone was convinced, though.
“Well, not completely as they completely failed to address the problem with the pants on the left. There is no way you could keep them on the dog unless they had suspenders,” said user Matthevv2. “So more likely you would get work dogs wearing the left pants with suspenders while the fancy city dogs would wear the pants on the right.”
