Viral: Did Corey Brewer Get Away with the Most Blatant Travel of all Time?

Yes, they don’t like to call travels in the NBA. But sometimes it’s not so clear — in such cases, players are often given the benefit of the doubt. Others times, it happens too quickly for the ref.’s and the audience’s eyes to catch.

But take a look at this 11- second clip that hit over 100,000 views overnight. Corey Brewer did well to strip Kevin Durant of the ball, and yes, there is no player in the NBA that could mess up a 1-on-0 fast-break. But if he would have made the basket anyway, why not do it the right way? As we all know, in basketball, you are allowed three steps while holding on to the ball. 

So how many steps did Corey Brewer take here? You can determine it yourself. I counted five. Some say six, seven, eight or even nine (OK, that’s a bit much).
