Vince Young, the former NFL quarterback, said via Twitter that he could suit up and play for the Houston Texans amid the team’s quarterback woes.

Both Texans quarterbacks Matt Schaub and T.J. Yates threw several interceptions against the St. Louis Rams, as the Rams slammed the Texans on Sunday.

“Let them know VY is in shape and ready to go! I always loved my birth place and everyone who lives in it IM READY,” Young tweeted on Sunday.

Young is a Houston native.

The 30-year-old free agent and college standout formerly played for the Tennessee Titans and Philadelphia Eagles.
