The remarkable life of George H.W. Bush was honored by friends and family on Dec. 6.

The state funeral culminated this afternoon with a journey aboard the bush 4141, a rare locomotive commissioned in 2005 to honor the president.

The train, once operated by Bush himself, carried the statesman to his final resting place at texas a&m university, where he will be interred beside his late wife Barbara, and their daughter Robin, marking the end of a life, but not a legacy.

His family honored his wishes today, saying their last goodbyes.

Trump Hosts Hanukkah Reception

President Donald Trump celebrated Hanukkah with Jewish Americans on Dece. 6 during a White House ceremony.

He highlighted the deep ties the U.S, and Israel share and pledged to prevent Iran from obtaining nuclear weapons.

People in the audience cheered Trump and chanted “four more years” and Trump responded by asking for six more years.

Trump also celebrated his decision to move the U.S. embassy in Israel from Tel Aviv to Jerusalem one year ago today.

Migrants From Caravan Breach US Border

Central American migrants remaining on the threshold of the United States and Mexico, breached the border fence on Dec. 4.

A man and a young girl, followed by a group of men made it over the first fence and walked uphill.

A woman and two children were also apprehended by U.S. border patrol agents shortly after they crossed into the United States from Mexico on Tuesday.

Top Huawei Executive Arrested on US Request

The daughter of Huawei’s founder, a top executive at the Chinese technology giant, was arrested in Canada and faces extradition to the United States.

The shock arrest of Meng Wanzhou, 46, who is Huawei Technologies Co Ltd’s chief financial officer, could have repercussions for the 90-day truce on trade struck between President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping on Dec. 1—the same day she was detained.

U.S. authorities have been investigating Huawei, the world’s largest telecoms equipment maker, since at least 2016 for allegedly shipping U.S.-origin products to Iran and other countries in violation of U.S. export and sanctions laws.

Polar Bear Celebrates Birthday at Milwaukee Zoo

Milwaukee County Zoo’s Snow Lilly the polar bear celebrates her 34th birthday.

Zookeepers brought her some “presents” of fish, peanut butter, honey, and sherbet to mark the occasion.

Snow Lilly arrived at the zoo in 2005 and quickly became a visitor favorite.

The lifespan of Polar bears in the wild ranges between 15 and 18 years, while in captivity they can live 30 years or longer.

Zoo staff says Snow Lilly is healthy and active despite being in her golden years.
