For sith lords and jedi masters around the globe, May 4 is an unofficial holiday.

Fans far and wide honor one of the most popular science-fiction series by celebrating all that is ‘Stars Wars’ on May 4.

President Barack Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama got in on the action as well this year.

In the video above the POTUS and FLOTUS can be seen dancing with the lovable R2D2 and two groovy stormtroopers to Mark Ronson’s “Uptown Funk

The connection between the spring day and the science fiction saga is linguistic: “May the force be with you,” the much repeated Jedi slogan rhymes with “May the Fourth.”

And Twitter loved it—as of May 5 the video has been retweeted nearly 6,000 times and liked by 8,500 users.

Michelle definitely outshines her husband and the three protagonists. She really knows how to groove to “her favorite song.”
