Cruz Responds to Trump, Calling Him a ‘Sniveling Coward,’ for Attacking His Wife
The verbal scuffle between the two leading Republican presidential candidates over their wives took a turn for the worst on Wednesday, as Ted Cruz unleashed some of his harshest words for Donald Trump yet in the campaign.
“I don’t get angry often, but if you mess with my wife, that will do it every time,” Cruz told reporters in Wisconsin. “Donald, you’re a sniveling coward, and leave Heidi the hell alone.”
After an anti-Trump PAC ran ads of a nude Melania Trump in Utah, which Trump mistook as an organization affiliated with Cruz, Trump posted a disrespectful image of Heidi Cruz to his 5 million followers on Twitter.

The ad campaign featuring Trump’s wife was launched by the Make American Awesome Again PAC, founded by Republican consult Liz Mair.
Cruz has called the ad campaign against Trump’s wife “completely inappropriate” and said his campaign has no connections with the ad, the Texas Tribune reports. The ad encouraged voters to choose Cruz over Trump.
This is the second day of the campaign saga involving the candidates’ wives. Previously, Trump had threatened to “spill the beans” on Cruz’s wife, provoking Cruz to call Trump a “coward” in turn.
Lyin’ Ted Cruz just used a picture of Melania from a G.Q. shoot in his ad. Be careful, Lyin’ Ted, or I will spill the beans on your wife!
