Police in Roseville, Michigan, released security camera footage of a group of men violently beating a bowling alley employee before a man threw a bowling ball at his head. They are searching for a suspect in connection with the case.

The employee had asked the men to leave, prompting the men to attack him, ClickonDetroit reported. The incident took place at the Apollo Lanes on Gratiot Avenue in Roseville, located near Detroit, at 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 10.

Officials said the men were asked to leave after causing a disturbance in the bowling alley.

Several men surrounded the counter where the employee was standing, officials said. One of the men reached over the counter and punched the employee in the face while a second man went behind the man and began to punch him.

The first man then picked up a bar stool and hit the man with it. Moments later, he grabbed a bowling ball and hit him in the head, dropping the man. The second man then began hitting the employee while he was on the ground, ClickonDetroit reported.

The men then left after the attack. The employee was hospitalized for treatment, but his condition is not known.

The second man, who is in his early 20s and black, was identified by detectives.

The first man is in his early 20s and weighs 200 pounds. He was wearing a black baseball cap, a white T-shirt, black pants, and a black, short-sleeved button shirt. He had a close-shaved beard and tattooed arms.

Anyone who can identify the first man should call the Roseville Police Department at 586-447-4510.

Other details about the incident are not clear.

The full statement from the Roseville Police reads: “While bowling the group became unruly and began creating a disturbance and were asked to leave by an employee. Several members of the group surrounded the bowling counter where the employee was standing. “

Officials added: “While there Suspect #1 reached over the bowling counter and punched the employee in the face, Suspect #2, who had stepped behind the counter, began violently assaulting the employee with punches and kicks to the face and body. Suspect #1 walked behind the counter and picked up a bar stool and struck the employee on the head. As the assault continued this same subject then picked up a bowling ball and smashed the ball on the back of the employee’s head. The employee fell to the ground and both subjects continued to kick the employee in the head prior to fleeing the location.”
