LeBron James, the renowned basketball star, has a second job making pizza.
The Cleveland Cavaliers embodied his alter ago,”Ron,” in a promotional stunt for Blaze Pizza.
Working on March 11 for the up-and-coming fast-casual pizza chain, Ron shadows a more senior employee, Eric. As a new employee at Pasadena, California’s Blaze Pizza, he is still in training. Yet he has an incredible knack for making customers feel at home.

The video is full of witty moments. Ron notices a customer wearing a Michigan shirt, and remarks there is nothing wrong with Michigan, that he “was born in Michigan.”
James is, in fact, a native of Ohio, which has a long-standing rivalry with Michigan.
Another customer says Ron looks like Dwyane Wade, a player for the Miami Heat basketball team. Ron replies that he “gets that a lot. I’ve heard of that guy too.”
At one point, Eric, Ron’s mentor, has to explain to him what basketball is. Ron mistakes the game for football.
“I keep telling him he has gotta try basketball,” says Eric to a customer.
