Police in Madison, Wisconsin released video footage showing three teens jumping out of an allegedly stolen SUV after crashing the vehicle.

The SUV crashed into another vehicle at an intersection after running through a red light, the footage shows.

The driver crashed the car “while speeding” at S. Gammon Road and Mineral Point Road in Madison, according to the City of Madison Police Department.

In the footage, after crashing, three young males emerge from the black SUV and run across the intersection. The teens jump out before the SUV comes to a stop.

Police spokesman Joel DeSpain told Madison.com that no one was seriously injured.

Officials are asking anyone with information to contact Madison Area Crime Stoppers at (608) 266-6014.

According to Channel 3000, 246 car thefts have been reported in Madison, and officials believe that they are often committed by a group of minors.

“About 30 young people are causing our lion share of crime,” DeSpain said, adding that many are repeat offenders.

“I can tell you that there’s a good deal of frustration on the behalf of our police officers, detectives and our burglary crime unit because we are arresting these people but they continue to commit these crimes,” he continued.

Other details about the incident are not clear.
