Fire pits are not only a fun way to hang out with friends, but incredibly versatile in that they’re ready to use in any season–even when snow is on the ground. The main problem is actually getting one, which is where Jeff Patterson comes in. The do-it-yourself guru utilizes items you probably have lying around the house and garage–plastic bowls, quick-setting cement, and a few other things–to make his own gel fire pit.
The project is more difficult than many DIY projects out there, but the reward is also better than most. And when you and the pals are sitting around roasting marshmellows, you can boast that you made the pit yourself.
