Usually to make bacon in the microwave you use a plate and paper towels, but that can get pretty messy.

There’s a better way, per Littlethings.com:

Simply take a plate, and put a smaller bowl upside down on the plate.Take the bacon and put it over the top of the bowel, then lay a paper towel on top to soak up some of the grease.Put the microwave on one minute for each piece of bacon you put it. In just minutes you'll have your bacon nice and ready without much of a mess to clean up.
