Cedric Lee and Zimmer Raz, two of the alleged perpetrators in the Vhong Navarro case, have been transferred to Camp Bagong Diwa in Bicutan, Taguig City.

The pair were escorted by police vehicles to the camp, where they will be put in a regular jail after being held at the National Bureau of Investigation for weeks.

Deniece Cornejo will also be moved shortly to the Bureau of Jail Management and Penology, which is also inside Camp Bagong Diwa, police sources told the Philippine Inquirer.

Cornejo has packed her belongings and was waiting for bureau personnel to take her to the camp from Camp Crame, where she was being held.

Lee and Raz were arrested in April while Cornejo surrendered in May. Cornejo’s petition to stop her transfer to Camp Bagong was denied. But she stayed at Crame for a while, and got to visit with her father Dennis and other family members this week.

Meanwhile, Vhong Navarro is holding firm on not settling the case against Cornejo, Lee, and the others.

Vhong was accused of raping Cornejo early this year, with Lee and his group among the accusers. But evidence later exonerated Vhong and instead prompted the criminal cases against Cornejo, Lee, and the others.

Vhong’s lawyer Alma Mallonga said that the cases will not end up in settlement, reported GMA News.
