Veterans Day 2013 freebies: There’s lots to choose from!

First, get free admission to national parks across the country on November 9 through 11., and get free admission to Colonial Williamsburg or 50 percent off at SeaWorld Parks & Entertainment.

Next, here are food choices (remember to bring proof of service):

Applebee’s: A free meal is being offered to military veterans and active-duty service members on Veterans Day, Monday, Nov. 11, 2013. There will be 7 entrées to choose from, beverage and gratuity not included. Military ID or proof of service required.

Bar Louie: Active duty military members and veterans can receive a free meal, up to $10 in value, and a free non-alcoholic beverage. Available at all locations, military ID or proof of service is required.

Champps Americana: Nov. 11, 2013. All Veterans and Active Military will receive a free burger on Friday, November 11th! Proof of service required. Dine in only, valid at participating locations.

Chili’s: Free meal, Monday, Nov. 11 2013. Chili’s is offering all military veterans past and present their choice of one of 7 meals. This offer is available from 11am – 5pm on November 11, 2013 at participating Chili’s in the U.S. only. Dine-in from limited menu only; beverages and gratuity not included. 

Denny’s: Nov. 11 2013. Free all you can eat pancakes from 6 a.m. – 2 p.m. for all active, retirees, and veterans. Offer available in every Denny’s nationwide.

Famous Dave’s: Nov. 11 2013. Free or discounted meals on Veterans Day. Offer varies by location, please check the Famous Dave’s Veterans Day page or call your local restaurant for more information.

Golden Corral: Free meal, Nov. 11:  If you are a veteran, retired, currently serving, in the National Guard or Reserves, you are invited to participate in Golden Corral’s Military Appreciation Monday dinner.  

Hooters: Free Meal, Nov. 11. Hooter’s is serving up a free meal to military veterans all day on Veterans Day. Offer good for all veterans and active duty military personnel. Get 10 Free Wings – Boneless or Regular, drink purchase required. 

Hy-Vee: Free Breakfast, Nov. 11, 2013. Free Veterans Day breakfast from 7am – 11am at all Hy-Vee supermarkets with in-store dining. Please call ahead to verify participation.

Krispy Kreme: Free doughnut. Available only at participating Krispy Kreme stores. Offer available to all active-duty, retirees & veterans on Monday November 11th. Be sure to call ahead to verify your local Krispy Kreme is participating.

Little Caesars: Honoring the men and women of the United States armed forces this Veterans Day by providing veterans and active military members with a free Crazy Bread. Call ahead to verify participation.

Lone Star Steakhouse: Nov. 11, 2013. Free Appetizer for military members and veterans. Please call ahead for verification.

LongHorn Steakhouse:  Nov. 11 – Nov. 14, service members receive a complimentary Texas Tonion appetizer and non-alcohol beverage.

Max & Erma’s: Monday, November 11, 2013. Participating Max & Erma’s locations are offering military members and veterans a free Best Cheeseburger in America Combo, which includes tortilla soup or side Caesar salad, seasoned fries, and chocolate chip cookies.

McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurants: Free lunch or dinner, Sunday Nov 10, 2013. Veterans will be able to choose a complimentary meal. Veterans must provide proof of military service. 

On the Border: Veterans and active duty military can enjoy a free meal from the “Create Your Own Combo menu” on Monday, Nov. 11

Outback Steakhouse: A week of Free Bloomin’ Onions and Cokes Friday Nov. 8 – Monday Nov. 11 2013. Outback Steakhouse is honoring America’s military veterans by offering active duty military and veterans a free Bloomin’ Onion and a Coca-Cola product during the week leading up to Veteran’s Day. Also, Outback is giving out a military discount of 10% off the total check November 12 to December 31, 2013.

Red Lobster: From Nov. 11 – Nov. 14, service members receive a complimentary appetizer from a list of 10 delicious options, including New! Crispy Fried Green Beans, Lobster-Crab-and-Seafood-Stuffed Mushrooms and Sweet Chili Shrimp.

Red Robin: – Veterans and active duty military get a free Tavern Double Burger and Bottomless Steak Fries on Monday, Nov. 11.

Shoney’s: Will be having a Veterans Day free meal on November 11, 2013 that consists of a free All-American Burger for veterans and active duty military

Sizzler: Offering active duty and retired military members a free lunch from a limited menu on Monday, Nov. 11 until 4 p.m.

Spaghetti Warehouse: Nov. 11, 2013. Buy one entrée, get one free, coupon required. Choose any of 11 Original Recipe Spaghetti entrées and receive a second entrée free. This offer is open to everyone, not just veterans.

Subway: Free Six Inch Sub, November 11, 2013. Select SUBWAY® Restaurants will offer a FREE six inch sub or flatbread to military veterans on Veterans Day. 

Texas Roadhouse: Free lunch, Nov. 11 2013. Every Texas Roadhouse location across the country will participate in the free lunch event to honor the men and women of our armed forces. Choose from one of 10 free meals, plus sides and a drink. Offer good for All veterans – including all active, retired or former U.S. military. 

T.G.I. Friday’s: Free Lunch,  No.v 11, 2013. Valid for all US Military personnel and veterans. Must wear uniform (if permitted by your service) or present military ID or other proof of service. Only valid at participating locations.

Travel Centers of America: — On Monday, Nov. 11, all CDL drivers who are military veterans eat free at participating full-service restaurants.

The Olive Garden: On Nov. 11, service members receive a complimentary entree from a special menu. Family dining with the service member receive a 10-percent discount on their meals as well. All entrees include freshly baked garlic breadsticks and choice of homemade soup or garden fresh salad.

Tim Hortons: All US locations are offering a free donut to all veterans.

Tucanos Brazilian Grill: Active duty, reserve and retired military and veterans receive a free Churrasco meal on Monday, Nov. 11. They are also offering 10% off the entire bill for veterans and troops who dine with their families, from Friday, Nov. 8 through Veteran’s Day, Monday, Nov. 11.

Village Inn: All veterans and active military personnel receive a free breakfast on Monday, Nov. 11. Choose between Buttermilk Pancakes, Belgian Waffle, or French Toast.

7-Eleven: Free small Slurpee on Monday, Nov. 11, 2013 from 11 a.m. and 7 p.m. Offer good to all current and former military members. 

Accommodations:

B&B for Vets: Participating Bed and Breakfasts are offering a complimentary room for a Veteran and guest on Sunday (November 10th) or Monday (November 11th).  Learn more at the Better Way to Stay website.

Disneyland Room Discounts: Active and retired military members can now book specially discounted room only reservations, and save up to 20% off of the rack rate at select Disneyland resorts hotels. Availability may be extremely limited or blacked out completely during the following dates: (November 28 – 30, 2013; December 23 – 31, 2013 and April 14 – 19, 2014)

JW Marriott San Antonio Hill Country Resort & Spa: Special rates for members of the military and first responders for stays beginning Veterans Day (November 11) through January 3, 2013.
