The man accused of shooting two National Guard Members just steps away from the White House on Nov. 26 has been charged with first-degree murder as new information surfaced about the ambushed victims.

Rahmanullah Lakanwal, a 29-year-old Afghan national who once worked with the CIA, is accused of shooting Army Specialist Sarah Beckstrom and Staff Sgt. Andrew Wolfe, while they were performing “high visibility patrols” on Nov. 26.
