USC Student Allegedly Raped by Lyft Driver

LOS ANGELES—A student at the University of Southern California was allegedly raped by a Lyft driver outside her apartment near the campus in South Los Angeles early Nov. 1.

According to a report from CBS 2, the victim was attacked after she returned to her apartment in the 3600 block of South Grand Ave. from a club in West Hollywood.

The victim described the suspect’s vehicle as a black sedan and said the driver was a thinly built man between 25 and 35 years old with a black beard and black hair, according to the USC Department of Public Safety.

Anyone who witnessed the alleged rape or has information regarding the case was asked to call the university’s public safety department at 213-740-6000 or the Los Angeles Police Department at 213-485-6571.
