A man who was jogging along the Rio Grande at the southern border in Brownsville, Texas was shot and killed, according to officials. Authorities believe the shots may have come from the Mexican side.
Police have identified the victim as Miguel Angel Valdez Hernandez, 57, whose body was found by a farm worker near the Rio Grande River Levee on June 18, according to local reports. Hernandez appeared to have been shot in the waist area, authorities said.
