The United States said it tested a hypersonic missile successfully for the second time, just weeks after Russia’s Defense Ministry said it fired such a weapon in Ukraine.

The U.S. Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) confirmed the hypersonic test in a Tuesday news release. The test was carried out in conjunction with the U.S. Air Force, involving the “Lockheed Martin version of the Hypersonic Air-breathing Weapon Concept (HAWC).”
