US Air Force Conducts Test Flight of Intercontinental Ballistic Missile

The U.S. military test-launched an unarmed intercontinental ballistic (ICBM) missile on a test flight from California on Feb. 5, to a target in the Pacific Ocean, the Air Force Global Strike Command said in a news release.

As part of a developmental test, the Minuteman 3 was fitted with a test re-entry vehicle and launched at 12:33 a.m. Wednesday from Vandenberg Air Force Base, California.
