Uber Settles With Family of Pedestrian Killed by AV car

Uber Technologies has agreed on a financial settlement with the daughter and husband of the Arizona woman who was the first person killed by a self-driving car.

Elaine Herzberg, 49, was walking her push bike across North Mill Avenue in Tempe, Arizona, where Uber was testing self-driving cars (AVs) with back-up drivers.
