DAVOS, Switzerland—On the second and final day of his visit on Jan. 22, U.S. President Donald Trump signed the Board of Peace charter, officially launching a new international organization tasked with overseeing the peace process between Israel and Hamas to end the war in Gaza.

“This board is the chance to be one of the most consequential bodies ever created, and it’s my enormous honor to serve as its chairman,” Trump said before the signing ceremony of the charter.
