A group of House Republicans is pressing congressional leaders to create a select committee to investigate what they call “the radical left’s assault on America and the rule of law,” citing the assassination of Charlie Kirk as the latest evidence of mounting political violence.
They asked that the select committee be staffed with members and aides who have prosecutorial or law enforcement backgrounds “to deliver results” and armed with full subpoena powers to trace the funding networks of nongovernmental organizations (NGO), donors, media outlets, and public officials.



The suspected shooter in the assassination of conservative commentator Charlie Kirk has been arrested, Utah Gov. Spencer Cox announced on the morning of Sept. 12. He is a 22-year-old Utah resident named Tyler James Robinson.
“We got him,” Cox said at a press conference. “On the evening of September 11, a family member of Tyler Robinson reached out to a family friend who contacted the Washington County Sheriff’s Office with information that Robinson had confessed to them or implied that he had committed the incident.”
According to President Donald Trump, Robinson’s father convinced his son to turn himself in.


A Secret Service agent has been placed on leave after his comments on social media following the assassination of conservative influencer Charlie Kirk.
“If you are mourning this guy .. delete me,” Anthony Pough wrote on Facebook following the Sept. 10 killing of Kirk at a university in Utah. “He spewed hate and racism on his show.”
Pough added later: “At the end of the day, you answer to GOD and speak things into existence. You can only circumvent karma, she doesn’t leave.”



The bullet casings collected from the weapon allegedly used in the assassination of Charlie Kirk had messages engraved on them, authorities say, including anti-fascist viewpoints and apparent references to taunting internet memes.
Utah Gov. Spencer Cox confirmed the arrest of Tyler Robinson, 22, at a press conference on Friday. Court papers said he was detained on suspicion of aggravated murder, felony discharge of a firearm causing serious bodily harm, and obstruction of justice charges. Formal charges are expected soon.
What the Messages Say
Bullet casings discovered by investigators had several inscriptions engraved on them, Cox said. The casing from the shot fired at Kirk read: “notices bulges OwO what’s this?”


The Pentagon has “zero tolerance” for any civilian or military personnel who mocks Charlie Kirk’s assassination, a spokesman said on Thursday.












Utah Gov. Spencer Cox has cautioned that Chinese and Russian bots are generating and spreading misleading content online to “encourage violence” in the wake of Charlie Kirk’s assassination.
Kirk, a prominent political commentator and conservative influencer, was fatally shot while on stage at an event held at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10. He was 31.
