The White House said on June 19 that the president will extend the deadline for TikTok’s China-based parent company, ByteDance, to divest its holdings in the social media platform.
Two previous extensions, in January and April, delayed a potential TikTok ban by 75 days, temporarily stopping the popular video-sharing app from being banned in the United States.
