President Donald Trump said the federal government will not continue to pay for California’s high-speed rail, calling the costly and delayed project “out of control” during a meeting with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on May 6.

The president said he told Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy about his decision.
