During the lockdowns, parents observed that some of what was being taught to their children was inappropriate, including the teaching of sex and gender to very young children.

Journalist, educator, and co-author of the book “Crimes of the Educators: How Utopians are Using Government Schools,” Alex Newman said that this type of curriculum is intentionally being used to indoctrinate young children and has gotten progressively more radical with time.

The curriculum is designed to have the children adopt certain attitudes, values, and beliefs towards sexuality and toward issues of gender that go against biology and traditional values.

“With each generation that passes, the content has become more and more graphic. The content has become more and more radical, the values being promoted have been more and more explicitly anti-traditional, anti-Christian, anti-family values, and I think there really is a very sinister motive here,” Newman told NTD Evening News during a recent interview.

The main goal of such a curriculum is to undermine the nuclear family, Newman said.

“And one of the ways that that happens is by undermining traditional morality and traditional values associated with sex,” he said. “But what’s happening in the schools is, it’s (sex) being devalued, it’s becoming something that’s just an issue of pleasure, something that anybody can do anytime, as long as there is consent.”

“That’s the new moral absolute, as long as there’s consent, anything can happen with anyone, it could be multiple partners,” Newman added.

Marxists have been employing sex education at least since the 1910s to achieve the goals stated by Newman. Georg Lukacs, a Hungarian Marxist who served as deputy commissar of education in 1919 during the Hungarian Soviet Republic, introduced sex education to children at the elementary level.

“This was back during the Bela Kun regime that the communist Bolshevik regime that took root in Hungary for a short time, under the leadership of cultural and education commissar Georg Lukacs, and what he wanted to do, and he was very explicit about this, was [to] use a sort of psychological terrorism in the form of graphic sex education to try to break down the moral values of these Hungarian children,” Newman said.

“They couldn’t start right away in the 1920s and 1930s and 1940s teaching children to go have multiple sexual partners, teaching children that they might have been born in the wrong body and that if they mutilate their genitals they can be a new gender, or that they should go out and experiment with homosexuality, it just would have been absolutely forbidden.”

Newman said the left’s aim has always been to put the “government” in place of the nuclear family, “with the state as the primary influence in the child’s life, in terms of passing on values, in terms of passing on morals, in terms of passing on culture.”

In response to this type of radical curriculum, many states have begun to implement laws to protect children’s and parents’ rights. Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis signed the “Parental Rights in Education bill” facing much criticism from progressives but which the majority of Florida’s parents support.

The law in part prohibits school districts from discussing sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through grade 3 or in a manner that is not age-appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students. Critics dubbed it the “Don’t Say Gay” law and sensationalized its contents as being hateful against transgender and gay people.

A Golden/TIPP poll found that over half of the 1,305 adults surveyed agree or agree strongly with the Florida law that prohibits K-3 graders from being taught about sexual orientation and gender identity.

The survey findings were as follows: 37 percent agree strongly, 20 percent agree somewhat, 11 percent disagree somewhat, 20 percent disagree strongly, and 12 percent were not sure.
Meanwhile, critics of the Florida law, including the union boss of The American Federation of Teachers, Randi Weingarten, called the Florida law “propaganda” and “misinformation” during an interview on the Rick Smith podcast last month. “This is the way in which wars start. This is the way in which hatred starts,” he said.

Under the new law, school districts in Florida are also prohibited from withholding certain information from parents, especially when it comes to decisions affecting their children’s mental, emotional, or physical well-being. Schools may not conduct a questionnaire or health screening on a student in grades K-3 without first receiving consent from the student’s parent.

However, Weingarten said this law is unwarranted and politically motivated.

“Instead of just doing that, these right-wing ideologues are just trying to create fear and anxiety and anger, exploiting this fear that parents already have in order to win elections and end public education as we know it,” Weingarten told Smith. “They’re using politics, creating intense long-term, harmful, cruel, and political ramifications.”
