LOS ANGELES—A man suspected of fatally stabbing a 23-year-old passenger without provocation aboard a Metro B Red Line train in downtown Los Angeles remained jailed Sept. 11 in lieu of $2 million bail.

Randy Lamale Nash, 31, was arrested at about 9:10 p.m. on Sept. 9 near the 1000 block of West 85th Street in South Los Angeles, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. He was booked on suspicion of murder.
