WNBA Team Co-Owner Loeffler Opposes League’s ‘Black Lives Matter’ Initiative

A U.S. senator who’s a co-owner of the Women’s National Basketball Association’s (WNBA) Atlanta Dream says she opposes the league’s plan to promote “Black Lives Matter.”

“I was incredibly disappointed to read about efforts to insert a political platform into the league,” Sen. Kelly Loeffler (R-Ga.) wrote in a letter to Cathy Engelbert, the commissioner of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
