Sen. Grassley Asks FBI Director Wray to Leave Office

The ‘failures are serious enough and their pattern widespread enough to have shattered my confidence in your leadership,’ the Iowa lawmaker wrote.

WASHINGTON—Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) on Dec. 9 wrote a letter to Federal Bureau of Investigations Director Christopher Wray asking him to step down.

The 11-page letter accuses Wray and Deputy Director Paul Abbate of mismanagement and “failure to take control of the FBI.”
